El Balcón means The Balcony in Spanish. The one naturally created over the stony ridge where the vineyards lie, harsh and poor soils for the vines planted there which have to fight for their sustenance, and confer character and concentration to the wines they produce.

  • Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah
  • Aged in 225-litre oak barrels for 14 months, 35% of the barrels being French oak and 65% American oak. Aged in bottle for a further 10 months.
  • Deep, clean and bright ruby red colour.
  • Intense aromas of blackberry and wild strawberry, combined with plum and ripe cherry. The red fruit is intertwined with subtle notes of cocoa, coffee and chocolate liqueur from the barrel ageing.
  • The mouthfeel showcases ripe red fruit integrating the oak beautifully, and makes for a complex, well balanced, elegant wine from a great vineyard.
  • White bean stews and legumes, cold meats, cheese and game.
