Ageing in 100 % French oak barrels for 21 months. Bottle aged for 30 months prior to market release.
Bright, intense, dark-cherry red.
Expressive and powerful nose with a wide array of aromas, especially black fruit jam, blackberries and cassis and hints of plums and dry figs. Subtle and complex aromas of vanilla, liquor chocolate and tobacco from the barrel ageing.
Supple, ample, expressive, with plenty of fruit flavours and a perfectly integrated wood, making this a complex, balanced and attractive wine. The sweet tannins add the ripe character. Elegant and lingering aftertaste.
Paté, cheeses, small game -woodcock and partridge-, grilled meat and suckling pig.
